CCDI Partnered with SRIJB to introduce Cycles to the Canarsie Community and was instrumental in CCDI securing a $20K grant to write an Emergency Plan for Canarsie.
CCDI was the first funder of the Canarsie Merchants Association and continue to partner on all they efforts to have a strong commercial corridor.
CCDI took on the role as Fiscal Conduit for these civic associations when they could not get grants because they didn’t have 501 C 3 nonprofit status.
CCDI partnered with CNA to host the yearly Canarsie Plant Giveaway since 2019 and the reconstruction of the Canarsie Neighborhood Garden.
In 2025 CCDI partnered with CCRUN to perform a study when Canarsie experienced some land subsidence issues in 2025.
